Enrichment at Gilbert Ward Academy

As part of the school day, we have an after-lunch enrichment time. We recognise that many of our children take taxis home and are therefore unable to access clubs at the end of the day. To address this, we’ve made reasonable adjustments to our school day to ensure all children can participate in enrichment activities.

The images showcase our children enjoying time in the LEGO room during enrichment. They have completed some incredible LEGO challenges, creating amazing models with moving parts. This activity ties closely with our school values, such as self-awareness, as some students have independently requested to use the LEGO room to help regulate themselves.
