Headteacher Designate Barry Reed Starts Position at Gilbert Ward Academy

Barry Reed has started his position of Headteacher Designate at Gilbert Ward Academy today, Monday 22nd May 2023, following his appointment earlier this year. Barry will be based at the Prosper Learning Trust Central Team site in Kenton, Newcastle upon Tyne, during the pre-opening stage of the school. 

Upon starting his position preparing to welcome pupils and staff to the school, Barry Reed said:

"I am excited to embark on this journey as we work hand in hand to create a thriving and inclusive educational community. Together, let us foster aspiration, integrity, kindness, and resilience in our pupils, enabling them to reach their full potential and lead happy and fulfilling lives"
